Memphis Tigers football starts with one of the latest kickoffs in the country. After that, Arkansas State visits Simmons Bank Liberty Stadium. A measuring-stick trip to Boise then follows before UT Martin closes out a tough opening month.
October and the short-week grind

- UAB at home on Oct. 10
- Friday night at Tulane on Oct. 16

The first open date gives the roster a short reset. From there, the Memphis AAC schedule delivers a hard turnaround. A Friday night game in New Orleans is followed just five days later by a Thursday night home date against East Carolina.
Homecoming and the finish

Army is one of the bigger home dates of the year. After the second bye, the Tigers hit the road again for USF and Navy. Temple then wraps the regular season in Memphis, though the official date may land on either Nov. 27 or Nov. 28. If Memphis reaches the American Championship, that game is set for Dec. 5.
