1. Our Original Content
Articles, headlines, analysis, and original graphics published on USA Sportz are the intellectual property of USA Sportz and protected under U.S. copyright law, unless explicitly credited to a third party. Reproducing, republishing, or redistributing substantial portions of our content without prior written permission is prohibited. To license or republish our content, contact us through our Contact Us page.
2. Fair Use of Third-Party Material
Our reporting may reference team and school names, logos, player images, and short quotations from press conferences or public statements under the doctrine of fair use, for news reporting and commentary. We make reasonable efforts to attribute all third-party material, and we review that usage as part of our editorial standards.
3. Filing a DMCA Takedown Notice
If you believe content on USA Sportz infringes your copyright, you may submit a takedown notice. To be effective under the DMCA, your notice must include:
- A physical or electronic signature of the copyright owner or authorized agent
- Identification of the copyrighted work claimed to have been infringed
- Identification of the specific material on our site you claim is infringing, including its URL
- Your contact information: name, address, phone number, and email
- A statement that you have a good-faith belief the use is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law
- A statement, made under penalty of perjury, that the information in your notice is accurate and that you are authorized to act on behalf of the copyright owner
4. Where to Send Your Notice
Submit takedown notices through our Contact Us page with the subject line “DMCA Takedown Request.” Valid, complete notices are typically reviewed within 5–10 business days. Incomplete notices may take longer while we request missing information.
5. Counter-Notification
If you believe your content was removed in error or misidentified, you may submit a counter-notification containing:
- Your physical or electronic signature
- Identification of the removed material and its location before removal
- A statement, under penalty of perjury, that you have a good-faith belief the material was removed in error
- Your name, address, and phone number, and a statement consenting to the jurisdiction of the federal court in your district
6. Repeat Infringers
USA Sportz reserves the right to remove content and, where applicable, restrict access for users or contributors found to be repeat copyright infringers, consistent with DMCA practices.
7. Non-Copyright Concerns
For concerns unrelated to copyright — such as factual errors — please use our Corrections Policy process instead of a DMCA notice. Keeping copyright and accuracy requests separate helps us resolve both faster.
