This year’s window has two layers. The first live period of July already wrapped, with Indiana programs treating it as a tune-up. The heavier stage is happening right now: the Nike EYBL Peach Jam, running July 14 through 19 at Riverview Park Activities Center in North Augusta, South Carolina, for the 30th consecutive year — one of the most longstanding grassroots basketball tournaments in the country.
How a Team Even Gets Here
Getting to Peach Jam isn’t a given. Every program in the field had to earn its way through the EYBL’s regular-season sessions and, for some, a set of Champions League play-in games, before qualifying for the three age-division brackets — 17-Under, 16-Under, and 15-Under — that crown the summer’s overall champion. Pool play runs Tuesday through Friday. Starting Saturday, the top eight teams in each bracket shift into a single-elimination format: quarterfinals in the afternoon, semifinals that evening, and a championship game Sunday morning. NCAA coaches are in the building for all of it, which is the entire point.

A level down in age but not in hype: Indiana Elite’s 3SSB 2029 squad has been described as arguably the top 15u team in the entire country. That’s not a small claim for a class this young. The roster’s depth extends well past its headline shooter — a long-range threat capable of rattling off multiple threes in a row — with contributors like Dontreyelle Johnson out of South Bend Riley and Ray Bowling from Anderson both drawing notice from evaluators. Two other names worth filing away from that same program: Ben Dillon of Evansville Bosse and Kolton Catchings out of Brownsburg.
Indiana Basketball Club’s Backcourt Is Forcing the Issue
Indiana Basketball Club already punched its ticket to the 3SSB Championship in July, and the reason is a backcourt that can beat you two different ways. Bo Washington, out of Pike, is a true point guard who gets teammates involved while still being nearly impossible to stay in front of on the drive. Next to him, Decatur Central’s Nash Sigmund is one of the state’s premier shooters — deep range, quick to get his shot off, capable of scoring in bunches once he gets going. Add 2027 wing Levi Walker of Fishers, who’s carried his breakout junior-year momentum straight into the live period, and it’s a roster with more than one way to win a game.
Why This Week Actually Matters
It’s easy to treat July as noise — just another stop on an endless AAU calendar. It isn’t. Peach Jam alumni over the last several years include a run of players who went straight from this gym to the top of NBA draft boards, and college coaches build entire recruiting boards around what they see in North Augusta. For Indiana’s programs, a strong showing this week doesn’t just mean bragging rights back home — it means offer sheets, visit requests, and a very different fall than the one they’d have had otherwise.
What’s Still Unfolding
This is the honest part: a live period is, by definition, unfinished business.
